Trillium Good Earth Community Garden

The garden has its own tools and water shed.

This is a lovely organic garden, started in May 1999 by local residents, St. John’s Lutheran Church and the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. It is nestled beside a grand shade tree, and has a paving stone area containing several picnic tables and a bench where gardeners can relax and socialize. In addition, there are community berry vines and bushes and plans to install community rhubarb patches. the garden has 85 plots, including 3 accessible raised beds and a trug, with plans to buy several more trugs in the future. Luther Manor, a retirement home on the property, provides city water. There are regular social events during the season and plenty of volunteer opportunities.
